MIDDLE

Middle School Education at Premo

At Premo, the curriculum for our middle grade learners is designed with their unique development in mind. During this age, brains begin to seek independence through questioning the status quo, seeking more autonomy, and balancing the drive to be independent while still needing support from adults. We believe in a cross-curricular model that allows students to explore all avenues and levels of learning.

At The Premo School, students explore learning through developmentally appropriate curricula. They participate in Socratic-seminar based classes, presentations that explore personal interests, and community service learning. Additionally, they expand their language mastery through creative and formal writing classes.

Premo middle schoolers are leaders of a multi-age community. They can present their ideas with poise, discuss sophisticated concepts, and receive the views of others graciously. Premo School graduates are articulate, self-confident, compassionate, and ready to meet new challenges. The Premo School isn’t just preparation for the real world, it is the real world.

"For the mind does not require filling like a bottle, but rather, like wood, it only requires kindling to create in it an impulse to think independently and an ardent desire for the truth."

- Plutarch
